Beachcomber's Cuff to it's Owner

I'd saved this Beachcomber's Cuff for a pal who was volunteering in Africa. Well, he got home & I finally was able to sell it to him! I hope he enjoys it forever!

More hemp...

So, someone seems to like hemp! That's a good thing! They saw the last hemp stash bag I made & ordered one for themselves! I only had a little left, so this little guy is only about 3" by 3.5", but it still will hold a few things & last a very long time!

Holiday Colors

Well, it's that time of year! And I'm wondering if I'll have enough holiday colored beads to make all the projects I have in mind!!! Here's a few I've been working on...now I just have to make them into what they'll become....which I can't say, 'cuz some one who reads my blog may get one of these! :) It's hard to keep secrets!!!

Happy Labor Day!

Well, I just deleted my Beachcomber's Cuff Bracelet from my etsy shop! Do you remember it? Here's a couple pics:
A pal of mine saw it & asked me to reserve it! So I did! It's waiting here for him to pick up! So if anyone wants anything similar, you'll have to contact me by email as I'm letting my listings run out on etsy! New directions and new fun OOAK designs!!!

Project Done & more to Do!

So I got another project done. This one is another wealth talisman:
AND, here's a big project waiting on me to finish! I need to paint all of these faces I molded so they'll be RTG for art dolls & other projects! Whew! It's been a fun, creative time in the studio lately!

Heart Pins

Remember way back in July? I was working on an Angel heart pin? Well, here's some pics of the finished pin.

I also finished another heart pin I called Hidden Love 'cuz as I beaded it, I realized that the heart in the center was becoming hidden! So hear's a couple pics of that one:

I just can't resist the heart motif!!!

Gotta Go!

Well, Ron (DH) & I had our summit meeting. We looked at what's gone on this last year & decided we were happy about some things, unhappy about others, & some things we wanted to change. We believe that if you aren't happy doing something, don't do it!

So, I have decided to close my etsy shop after the listings run out. We both don't like selling, but love to create. There's a story online that has inspired us for many years. You can see it here. I hope the link works! If not, here's the site to copy & paste: http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2005/11/24/hometowns/ht01.txt

This so much more describes how we like to work. After making this decision, I felt so free! I could create for the love of it, not for a store or to chase money! So, since I'm not concerned right now with the selling of things, I am spending most of my time in the studio making what comes from my heart! And I have been creating so naturally the longer I spend in there working! I don't know why we didn't do this before! :) We are a little slow with certain things!

Anyway, hopefully some day we'll have a place to put all of the wonderful things we're creating! But in the mean time, we are happily playing in our studio/workshop!!! Wish us luck!

P.S. Huckleberry Hut is still up and running! We still are enjoying that! ;)

New Heart Started

I admit it...the heart is my fave motif!! I'm just stuck on them!!! So here's a little look at something I'm getting ready for my shop...

The sterling silver bead on this one says "Angel". I've already finished some other beaded hearts, but those will have to wait for another day to post!!!
Happy aloha weekend to all!

Tin Goddesses

Speaking of goddesses, I've been working on some for my etsy shop, but still haven't decided on a name for them. I've also found it really different to be beading on felt after this last year of beading on Timtex! Wow! It's so soft, but also floppy! It's a good thing I used an air dry lightweight clay to make the face cab! There's no way it would've held up a polymer cab! So here's a couple pics:

In the first picture, you can see part of one of the stacks of tins my pals have been saving for me. Plus I've been using them to hold the patterns, the project dolls & some embellishment beads, charms & sequins. I can take just a couple tins on the road with me to work on! OOOoooo, and I just bought the softest 100% cotton stuffing! Can't wait to try it on these & my hearts!

Tin Goddesses?

OK...here's a new project I'm working on for my shop. I looked online & in books for different goddess shapes & sketched some out & made patterns. I've had pals saving me their Altoid tins instead of tossing them. I want to make little goddesses to go in their tin shrines. I'm just not sure what to call them! Anyway, it was a really interesting thing to study...these ancient forms. There is even an ancient pecked owl goddess in France! So I included a silhouette of it. Maybe you can pick it out in the picture. I also made some forms/patterns of my own! I have some molded, painted faces, felt, beads, charms, etc. for each of these beauties & their shrines. Should be fun...any help with a name would be appreciated! ;)

What Have I Been Up TO???

Alot of people tend to ask that...I guess 'cuz I spend alot of time in the studio & not alot of time showing what I'm doing! Well, dang! I'm just having fun! So here's some things I've been up to:
Some journal swap pages:

Some stuffed hearts that will curl all up after I wash them...will show ya later when I'm done:

Some art jounalling:

And fulfilling orders for our little business...this is a basket of handmade paper bookmarks we still have to tag & get to the museum. You can't tell here, but each bookmark has a stamped Hawaiian image on it. Maybe I'll get a chance to show some another time. So here's those:

And that, my friends, is part of what I've been up to! :)

Hearts of Hope

I've just been having so much fun with felt & beads! I love the simplicity of working with such fun materials. I made a pin I'm going to add to my etsy shop. I'd like to do a series of these. This one is a Heart of Hope for Health! I decided to show the front & back. It's nice to see it all finished! And hope it blesses someone on their journey to health!

The Flu, The Computer & Me!

Yikes! I don't know if any of you have been hit by the flu/cold season this year, but it sure seems that everyone I talk or email to either has been sick or knows someone who is! That little bug hit me this last week too! So here's hoping we all get well soon!
On top of that, the day I got sick, my computer had a break down! So it's off to the Computer Hospital for it!

And then...I had to borrow my DH's laptop which has updated graphics programs on it...so I've been spending time trying to learn how to use them! I'm pooped!
So I didn't get a chance to work on my etsy shop this week...just alot of moodling going on. I will be adding some things to my shop once I get my computer back. Of course all my pics are on there! So I took a quick pic of one drawing I may add when I can. Here it is:

I think I've just realized that all of these resized pics are gonna be pretty dang small!!! Well, just in case you can't tell what it is, these are Bean Poles! ;) It was done during the 2006 Daily Devotions project. Hopefully I'll get better at this new graphics program for 2008!

The Beachcomber's Cuff

Decided to make a cuff for my shop...I have other things to put into inventory, but just had to start this! Here's a couple pics to show where I'm at with it!

It's actually forming as I bead it so I know it will fit over the brass blank. However, I've noticed one thing. I really need some help with photographing my stuff! Or at least with photo editing. None of these snapshots really show the true colors of the bead & shells. They all have different shades in each picture, yet I took them in the same spot under the same light! So I guess when I get caught up, that will be another thing I need to do!

Computer Problems

Don't we all have them? I mean, I love my computer, when it works well! :) But sometimes, like now, it can cause a few problems. I normally blog on Aloha Fridays, but my DH is gonna try to get some of my info over to his laptop so I can continue with business. So...I'm not sure that I'll get my blogging in tomorrow. Hence this message today!

I did get a new item up on my etsy shop, but don't have pics of my BJP so far for January or February! So I'll just put a pic here of the new item on my shop! It's a Wealth Talisman.

You can check other stuff out in my shop if you want. Just click here. I'll be blogging & posting again as soon as these computer issues are resolved! Thanks for checking in!

Announcing CC's Shop! Online Now!

OK...I did it! I bit the bullet & opened my own online shop! The last year, in my spare time, I've been making some inventory to sell online. I've just opened my shop on Etsy. It's called CC's Shop, & the address is: HRHCC.etsy.com! So come check out the items I have listed so far. It's a HUGE learning process for me! Now that I have a few items listed, it should get easier! So look for new things to be added...hopefully daily...or at least weekly! Here's a little preview of a couple of the items that are for sale!

I have tried to have a little something for everyone, while still maintaining my own joy in creating my art projects! From jewelry to talismans to A Little Bit of Love hearts, I hope you enjoy checking out my creations! They all have been made with loving intentions! Woo hoo! Here I go!
