I've been RAAKed again!

I am in an online group that recently had a bead exchange.  One of the participants made a bracelet called Pandora.  I loved it!  I tried to find the findings here in the U.S., but the silver ones were expensive!  Like $25.00 a piece, plus the special bracelet, caps, etc.  So she decided to send me the findings in a metal that doesn't tarnish.  Yea!  AND she also made me a very unique necklace which you can see on the right of my bead board.  AND she sent me a large piece of amber to use in healing!  What a generous spirit she is!  So now, once I get all the beads in, I'll be RTG on making my own bracelet!

The Pandora style was created by a man in Denmark.  Here is a pic of the one my online pal made.  Isn't it great?!

She had never done jewelry work before!  I couldn't believe it.

More RAAKS and some crochet

We got RAAKed with more yarn!  Wowee!!!  This is fun!  Here's a couple of pics:

So I've been busy rolling balls and I started this scarf:

It's called Juniper & is beautiful!

I'm keeping the yarn in my Tibetan prayer bowl 

so each stitch is full of prayers for whoever gets this scarf!

So while all the kitchen mess was going on, 

we got a RAAK from a pal in HI.  

(Remember a RAAK is a Random Act of Art Kindness)

I've been raak'd!  (Random act of art kindness) 

I know I haven't blogged in quite awhile, but I received some precious gifts

RAAKed!!!

Some of you may have read I was RAAKed just a little bit ago by a pal...you can see her site here! I think she has a different Flickr account where she shows her beautiful art! Anyway, after my last post, she asked me if I realized the flap on top opened! I hadn't! I kept pushing it down thinking the humidity in Hawaii was making the glue come undone! So I quickly got out my new personalized magnet box, & lo, & behold...it opens! I wondered why she hadn't signed her name to her art! And here was this wonderful note you can see below:

She is such a sweetie! And has a certain style about her that I can tell anywhere! Below you can see the pic she sent me to show me how it was originally sent. What a wonderful surprise! Thanks, sweetie!

I've been RAAKed!!!

For those of you who don't know, a RAAK is a Random Act of Art Kindness...kinda like a Random Act of Kindness, but in this case, someone sends you a surprise piece of art they made for you! In this case, one of my e-pals sent me a personalized box of magnets she made just for me! I met her on a Yahoo group we are both in. You can find her site here! She doesn't show alot of her art on her blog, but she has such a beautiful style! I wish she would show more! :)
