Just a quick update to thank Shoshi for inspiring me to make a mandala using sanguine pens!  It turned out great!  I'll share it here, but you can see more of my recent work on my FB page!  Hope you like it!

Thank you for your kind comment, CC - I am now feeling much better, but saw the doctor yesterday and have to go on anticoagulants for the pulmonary embolisms and I've also developed a parastomal hernia which is a dreadful bore. I'm sure I'll be OK though!!

Hi CC, gorgeous, gorgeous mandala! Thank you for the link, and you've reminded me I haven't used my sanguine pen for a while. Thank you for your kind comment - yes, we are missing little Phoebe, and poor old Beatrice is really pining for her. Thanks for the great advice, too - wish I was sensible enough to take it lol! Actually I've been a bit better in that direction this week, but the week before was ridiculously busy, and I'm now trying to catch up with everything. I feel a lot better for the weight loss, too - I was horrified to see what I looked like in that previous photo!

Have a great week, and I hope you are doing OK,
Shoshi

This is a very pretty mandala, CC. I've been doing some on the iPad and they are lovely to do. Sorry I haven't visited for so long! Thank you for your sweet comment about our new kittens - they are such fun to watch as they wrestle together and chase each other's tails!!

Thank you for your sweet comment, CC - and also for your birthday wishes. We had a lovely couple of days out to celebrate. Yes, it's been a very rough six months for me but hopefully I am now fully on the mend and won't see the inside of the hospital for a bit (apart from outpatients).

Hi CC - thanks for another visit to my blog, and for such an understanding and thoughtful comment. Sorry you’ve got a hernia, too. Mine has the added risk that it could cause another obstruction - always a risk with parastomal hernias. I do feel a bit more open to further surgery now, though, because of the explanations of what happened before - not likely to happen again.

Hope to see more arty posts on here! Hope you are doing some. I haven’t done any Zentangle for ages, and not enough art in general, although if you visit again in a day or two I will be posting about my latest “mystery project”!

Our two kittens are now two lovely plump little cats! They are such characters and we love them to bits.

Hi Shoshi! I'm glad you feel better about it! I wish I could do more blogging, but with Facebook I just don't have any extra energy. I know you understand that! I did love your Mystery Project! Especially the grungy one! Even if I don't comment much, I read every email I get from you! xoxo CC
