BJP Catch Up!

Well, I'm hoping I can catch up this month on my BJP piece. I got the image transferred finally! My transfer paper wasn't working on the Timtex. I found I REALLY had to press hard on it. You can see some dark marks where I actually came thru' the paper & transfer sheet!
Now I'm learning another lesson. I had been doing improvisational beading. This is my first planned design. What I'm finding is that I need ALOT of different size beads to pull this off really well! And colors! More shades! But it's still fun & a good learning process! I have no idea where I'm going for April...will just be glad to be caught up!!!

I think you will find yourself having a lot of fun with this design . . .

Looks super so far. I know what you mean about the different colors. You don't know how many shades you need until you get started.

as always your work makes me smile because your senses of joy and playful are such a powerful part of your work for this project. I really LOVE your choices for this piece and can't wait to see more.

P.S. have also reached a similar conclusion about needing beads in more sizes and a great range of shades. So you saying it too is going to be my validation for a little 'mad money' shopping ...

Never hurts to have more beads in more sizes and colors!!! It expands what you can do with improvisational work too. Can't wait for my US incentive check to arrive, as I already know what I'm going to do with it (yup! more beads!)

Maybe some of our other members who work on Timtex would have some ideas about transfering designs more easily. You could post the question on the BJP blog...

This will be a lovely piece... can't wait to see it progress.

Happy spring to you too, Robin
