August is DONE!!!!!

Yea! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'm not sure why, but this piece reminded me of tooled leather. Weird. Oh, well. Here's a couple pics:
But I swear, September WILL NOT have any long sticky outie things that get in the way!!! I hope I learned my lesson!

Hi CC, I love the organic texture of your piece. The contrast in colors really makes the center stone pop out. What a beautiful color it is. Great job! -Karen

Thanks all for the comments! It's really helpful to hear what other artists have to say! DH's opinion aside, I like how it turned out! :)
Isn't it fun to see all the different ways that people are expressing themselves? I love it!

Wow. Better you than me! (It's fascinating how differently we each approach this project and the techniques that can be used!)

I love the way you used beads to look like button hole stitch (intentionally?)... it's both simple and complex at the same time, which makes it so interesting and worthy of study. Good work! Robin

Hi Karen! I'm not sure how I'm gonna match all these names with their blogs! I'm too simple & visual! But I'll try! ANYWAY, thanks for the comment...I really like that stone & glad it pops!
Hi, Ellen! Yea, you like my edges! Me too!
Sunni, glad you understand! ;)
Thanks, KV!
Hi, Sue & Robin! Yep, I love all the different techniques! Robin, it IS buttonhole stitch. You can see my explanation on my 8/24 post! I love it & just went for it!
