First Aloha Doll done

OK...the first Aloha Doll is done & ready to be mailed to the Comfort Doll project. Here she is:

I hope whoever gets her knows every stitch sewn, & every bead added, was made with lots of love! And with belief for a peaceful, beautiful future!

CC -- Your aloha doll is beautiful. How could anyone pick up this beauty and not know it was made with lots of love?

You were right about the 6" size being harder to work on -- have been a dollmaker all my life and the comfort doll I am making has to be one of the most interesting challenges I have ever had.

Oh, Kathy! You are so right! That's why I kept her as simple as possible! Not being a doll maker, I just wanted her to give a symbolic resemblance of a woman in a long mu'umu'u doing the hula with aloha. Using Hawaiian fabric helps! :)
